About the position

The Product Manager at CNA is responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating the Product Vision and Product Roadmap for moderately large or complex business solutions. This role operates within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and is accountable for outcomes at the Agile Release Train (ART) level. The Product Manager collaborates with business owners, solution architects, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with the product vision and to streamline and optimize processes.

Responsibilities

• Owns the business strategy, content, and priorities for the ART.
• Collaborates with Business Owner/Initiative Owners to decompose Initiatives into ART-level work efforts.
• Develops and owns the Agile Program Vision, Backlog, and Program Increment (PI) Roadmap, continuously communicating to the Portfolio and Team levels.
• Develops Benefit Hypotheses and acceptance criteria.
• Engages in Portfolio-level meetings and provides insights into budget parameters.
• Helps Product Owners and Product Management teams redesign current state processes to optimize future state operations.
• Partners with system architects to prioritize architecture work aligned with business priorities.
• Actively participates in Team-level PI ceremonies.
• Participates in release management and solution validation.
• Provides strategic insights to help development teams in sizing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of related work experience, preferably as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
• Experience with insurance, insurance agency management, and finance-based products.
• Successful track record with delivery using Agile methodologies.
• Applicable certifications preferred - SAFe PO/PM, CSPO or PSPO.

Nice-to-haves

• Surety Insurance experience is a plus.
