About the position

The Product Manager at Snap-on Engineering Services Co. is responsible for overseeing global product management and marketing functions for specified product families, particularly focusing on hand tools. This role involves planning, developing, designing, and launching new products while implementing global marketing programs. The Product Manager will manage relationships with internal and external manufacturing and suppliers to ensure strategic partnerships and drive performance improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Manage brand and channel positioning, and establish pricing strategies for existing and next-generation product families.
  • Conduct gap analysis to assess market opportunities and determine new categories and products.
  • Perform competitive assessments by analyzing competitor positions, product offerings, and market performance.
  • Develop and implement marketing and launch plans that achieve market share and profit objectives.
  • Manage product life cycles from new product proposals to product discontinuance, analyzing product lines for life cycle changes.
  • Lead new product innovation teams to ensure continuity of ideas from concept to profitable product offerings.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement in areas such as on-time delivery, quality, and product cost.

Requirements

  • Experience in product management and marketing, particularly in the tools or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills for market research and competitive assessment.
  • Ability to manage product life cycles and develop strategic marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and supplier relationships.
