About the position

The Product Manager will lead the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions for Disney's resort experiences, ensuring seamless and magical guest arrivals. This role involves managing critical initiatives, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product success.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision for the Resort Guest Arrival within Resort Technology.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and customer needs.
  • Drive action across cross-functional teams by managing product discovery.
  • Collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering partners to prioritize discussions.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, scope definition, and user story creation.
  • Act as a negotiator and gatekeeper between business needs and technological capabilities.
  • Continuously monitor key performance metrics to track product success.
  • Proactively identify risks and dependencies that may impact product timelines.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Coordinate and communicate product releases and updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to provide solution design for architecture discussions.
  • Write detailed functional specs for technical implementations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience with APIs, integrations, and configurations.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and expertise in building product roadmaps.
  • Experience with solution design, writing specs, wireframing, and creating sequence diagrams.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to lead complex initiatives.
  • Advanced skill in writing business, technical, and functional requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools like Jira, Smartsheet, and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Experience in the hospitality or lodging industry.
  • Familiarity with resort operations or an understanding of the domain.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
