About the position

The Product Manager - AXISS at Baker Hughes will serve as a crucial link between the marketplace and the business, overseeing all aspects of product strategy for AXISS products and derivative services. This role involves developing strong relationships with industry representatives and ensuring market adoption and growth of the product. The Product Manager will manage the product line life-cycle, work cross-functionally to ensure effective productization, and support promotional strategies to optimize product returns.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the global market for AXISS, including market size, pricing, technical trends, and competitor capabilities.
  • Act as an industry advocate for the product to ensure awareness, market adoption, and growth.
  • Take full accountability for product strategy to increase market share profitably.
  • Own the Multi-generation product plan and develop business cases for investment plans.
  • Manage product line responsibilities as defined in the Product Development Process (PDM).
  • Ensure operational readiness of new product or engineering developments.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure rigorous productization in commercial and operational areas.
  • Manage the portfolio of existing equipment and services to optimize revenue and profit.
  • Support promotional strategies for new products and optimize returns from existing products.
  • Support sales and commercial operations on major tenders and provide ad-hoc guidance.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in key global accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with company/customer HSE handbooks and procedures.
  • Promote compliance & ethics policies throughout the workplace.

Requirements

  • Educated to graduate level in a technical/engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, commercial, operations, or product line experience in a customer service environment.
  • Understanding of the market for in-line inspection and/or pipeline integrity management preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial and technical strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the energy industry.
  • Familiarity with product line life-cycle management.
