About the position

As the Product Manager of Onboard Revenue for U.S. Commercial at MSC Cruises, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies aimed at maximizing pre-paid revenue for guests booked in the U.S. and Canada. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product strategy, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and marketing across various onboard revenue areas such as dining, beverage, internet, spa, and shore excursions. The position requires a data-driven approach to optimize profit margins and drive revenue growth while building and leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive onboard revenue strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for revenue and margin growth.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Onboard Operations to implement pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and upselling techniques.
  • Determine optimal bundling, pricing, and promotion strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop marketing strategies to communicate and maximize revenue opportunities to booked guests.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to achieve revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercially oriented roles such as marketing or revenue management.
  • Broad experience in direct sales/marketing through digital channels of consumer branded products/services.
  • Experience developing ancillary revenue streams, preferably in travel/hospitality or analogous categories.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading revenue-generating teams and achieving financial targets in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and innovative spirit.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
