About the position

The Product Management, Manager at FIDx is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction with the Insurance Exchange platform by delivering innovative capabilities that meet operational requirements and drive business growth. This role acts as a liaison between clients and internal teams, translating client feedback into actionable product features and improvements. The manager will work closely with various departments to align product capabilities with the organization's strategic objectives, ultimately contributing to client satisfaction, retention, and the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with onboarding clients and internal teams to identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of product strategy for Insurance Exchange and provide input to the strategic roadmap.
  • Meet with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges, conducting thorough needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with the Platform Support team to resolve client issues and identify bugs in product code.
  • Assess trends in the defect queue and implement preventative measures for trending defects.
  • Identify business value of product enhancements and help set product strategy with stakeholders.
  • Gather and document business requirements from clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure the Development team understands client needs and timing requirements for delivery.
  • Assist in defining technical requirements and collaborate in product design sessions.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance testing criteria.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients to ensure new features meet expectations.
  • Collect user feedback and work with the development team to remediate identified issues.
  • Execute platform launch and training, supporting internal teams during launches.
  • Assess platform benefits and utilization, gathering client feedback for future improvements.
  • Accountable for platform outcomes, ensuring new features meet business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage a product roadmap aligned with company goals and client requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience with variable and fixed annuity products.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in a client-facing capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and/or other software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Process orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong intrapersonal skills and ability to form collaborative working relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for data analysis and data-driven applications.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools and product management software is a plus.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required; Lucid or Visio skills preferred.
