About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for 3rd Party App Developer Strategy at Microsoft is responsible for driving the marketing strategy and execution for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in relation to the Copilot+ PC and NPU technology. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the software experience on Windows, particularly focusing on AI integration and ISV enablement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product marketing, software development, and a passion for supporting developers in their growth on the Windows platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build the strategy and execution plan to scale the long tail of ISV building on the NPU, including ISV segmentation, prioritization, and driving adoption of Windows Copilot Runtime capabilities with compelling value propositions and pitch decks.
  • Partner with multiple Independent Hardware Vendors' ISV programs to launch a unified and always-on Windows ISV program.
  • Drive market research to gather insights and establish/manage an ISV & Developer Advisory Board for early concept/product feedback and roadmap validation.
  • Identify compelling user scenarios, lead storytelling, and demonstrate use cases across key marketing moments highlighting 3P app capabilities and Windows platform capabilities.
  • Establish give/get for ISVs and market differentiated use cases on user-facing marketing channels, collaborating with PR for joint pre-release across 1P and 3P channels.
  • Scale Arm compatibility strategy & execution to cover long tail ISVs across consumer, commercial, and Line of Business applications.
  • Champion the Windows business and brand internally to build organizational understanding of key customers, business drivers, and the strategic role Windows plays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in Software development, Product Management, Tech Product Marketing or Technology Consulting.
  • 2+ years experience using data and metrics to drive improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Empathy for and understanding of developer personas and ability to communicate effectively with developers.

  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
