About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager for AdMob and Sellside Publisher at Google, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for our products. This position involves leading every aspect of the product's journey, from determining positioning and naming to conducting competitive analysis and prioritizing features. You will collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team that includes Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, and engineering to ensure a cohesive marketing experience. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of our consumer base and the overall success of our products. In this role, you will be responsible for the product marketing strategy from inception to execution. You will manage the marketing of Google AdMob and key strategic sellside priorities, such as Privacy for publishers. Your work will involve narrative development, content strategy, research, and product launch strategy, all aimed at enhancing our sellside business. You will also drive projects that require strategic leadership and quick execution, including the development of product marketing points of view, creative briefs, and positioning work, often tackling challenges that do not fit neatly into existing processes. Google AdMob and our sellside publisher solutions are utilized by over 1 million apps, and your contributions will help publishers build sustainable businesses that provide valuable content and experiences for consumers. This role is crucial in influencing marketing initiatives and product direction through customer research, and you will develop compelling narratives to support product adoption, activating at key moments in the marketing calendar. Additionally, you will manage global localization efforts for marketing content, ensuring that our messaging resonates across different markets and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Own content strategy across channels and manage global localization efforts for marketing content such as case studies or website resources while triaging cross-functional localization requests.
  • Drive customer research to influence marketing initiatives and product direction, and develop positioning and narratives for product initiatives to support adoption, activating at tentpole moments.
  • Manage marketing programs that could include creative development, thought leadership, script writing, program management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Act as point of contact for agency partners and multiple internal groups to enable global execution of AdMob brand guidelines.
  • Partner with sales, regional marketing, and product management leads to develop goals and strategy for the Apps business.
  • Support development of detailed go-to-market strategies for rapidly changing products and teams spread across offices around the globe.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product marketing working in digital advertising and content business generation for app developers or web publishers.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience developing and executing brand positioning strategies that differentiate products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience crafting persuasive messaging and value propositions, with experience in message testing to ensure audience resonance.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams and navigating large, complicated organizations.
  • Experience in project management with effective prioritization and collaboration skills, and experience managing agency partners, vendors, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent B2B content writing skills, with examples.
  • Strong creative sensibilities in evaluating asset designs and alignment with brand guidelines.
