About the position

Amazon is seeking a motivated and customer-obsessed individual to join the Amazon Fresh US Traffic Product Marketing Team as a Product Marketing Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing marketing channel campaigning aimed at generating highly qualified traffic to physical grocery stores. As a marketing leader, you will be responsible for conceiving and proposing innovative marketing strategies and concepts, guiding projects through successful testing and scaled execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of analytical acumen, operational excellence, program management, and creative skills, effectively applying marketing science to inform creative decisions and shape channel strategies. In this position, you will be expected to work at both the strategic and tactical levels. This includes generating bold and innovative ideas for growth while managing campaigns with marketing tools, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems. Flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment are essential. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing, building, and executing owned and operated channel marketing plans, which encompass creative development and campaign performance analysis. You will need to deeply understand and articulate the target customer, obsessively analyze new and competitive products, trends, and opportunities. Understanding key traffic drivers such as impressions, reach, frequency, clicks, and conversion is vital, as is the ability to measure, track, and optimize these metrics to accomplish business goals. You will also partner with stakeholders both within and outside the team to derive critical insights from Amazon content ranking-engine data, synthesizing recommendations to improve campaign performance and reach. Additionally, you will be expected to maximize the tools at your disposal, challenging the existing tool set and collaborating with technical teams to propose and evaluate enhancements that improve efficiency and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, build, and execute owned & operated channel marketing plans, including creative development and campaign performance analysis.
  • Deeply understand and articulate the target customer; obsessively understand new and competitive products, trends, and opportunities.
  • Understand key traffic drivers (impressions, reach, frequency, clicks, conversion) and how to measure, track, and optimize them to accomplish business goals, document the results, and share best practices across the team.
  • Partner with stakeholders within and outside the team to derive critical insights from Amazon content ranking-engine data and synthesize recommendations to improve campaign performance and reach.
  • Understand how to get the most out of the tools you use to do your job and challenge the existing tool set, successfully working with technical teams to propose and evaluate enhancements that improve efficiency and functionality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Knowledge of analytical reporting tools (ie Excel, Tableau)
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
  • Experience using SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
  • Experience with Amazon Marketing Tools (Content Symphony, Sonar, Bullseye, etc.)
