About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Red Hat Ansible will be responsible for defining and executing the product marketing strategy for Ansible, focusing on both outbound marketing activities and sales enablement. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to effectively promote Red Hat Ansible and drive customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of customer goals and challenges, target markets, use cases, and sales motions for Red Hat Ansible.
  • Develop marketing strategy and execution aligned with market directions, supported by the roadmap and releases of offerings.
  • Create sales plays and tactics focusing on customer pain points, benefits, and business outcomes.
  • Lead and influence the development of content to drive customer wins, including messaging, thought leadership, presentations, and sales plays.
  • Evangelize Red Hat Ansible through webinars, social media, roadshows, industry events, and customer briefings.
  • Influence industry analysts and support customer campaign and field enablement programs.
  • Develop and track success metrics for the marketing strategy and execution plan.
  • Deliver impactful presentations at key industry and Red Hat events.
  • Collaborate with technical marketing and product management on go-to-market strategy, including roadmap, positioning, messaging, and content plans.
  • Collaborate internally with Product Management, Engineering, Alliances, Corporate Marketing teams, Sales teams, and Ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product or technical marketing experience, preferably with B2B Technology companies.
  • Bachelor's degree; master's degree is a plus.
  • Critical thinking skills with a proven ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to translate Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform features into customer benefits and business outcomes.
  • Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills; experience presenting is a plus.
  • Experience working effectively in a persuasion-oriented, cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to work with some supervision in a startup-like environment.
  • Basic understanding of common technical jargon in IT, operations, software application development, databases, cloud, DevOps.
  • Willingness to travel 10-25%.
  • Experience with technologies like Ansible, Terraform, IT Automation, and cloud technologies is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with public cloud offerings like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, AI/ML, and edge computing.
