About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Automation at Emerson is responsible for driving growth in the automation product portfolio through strategic market analysis and customer engagement. This role involves collaborating with various departments to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that enhance market penetration and meet customer needs. The position requires a customer-centric approach to product development and lifecycle management, ensuring that Emerson's offerings align with market demands and contribute to the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for new product development within the Discrete Automation segment through market research.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial idea to phase-out, focusing on profitability.
• Analyze internal and external data to make strategic decisions regarding product lines.
• Develop promotional marketing campaigns for new product launches and provide sales support.
• Create product line architecture plans and optimize the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and Sales teams throughout the development process.
• Support initiatives to streamline operations and enhance product adoption.
• Develop pricing strategies based on market insights.
• Regularly visit customers to understand market needs and gather feedback.
• Provide technical support and training to sales teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering
• 3 years of experience in B2B marketing or a relevant technical background
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to travel 20%
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
