About the position

As the Product Marketing Manager for AWS Cloud Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for AWS's innovative monitoring and observability capabilities. This position is crucial for helping customers optimize their AWS, hybrid, and multicloud environments, thereby reducing IT complexity and enhancing operational efficiency. You will be responsible for developing compelling messaging and positioning that resonates with customers, showcasing the unique value of AWS services. Your work will involve collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to define key messages and prioritize features that align with customer needs. In this role, you will own the creation of marketing content that drives awareness and adoption of AWS services. This includes crafting value propositions and use cases that highlight the benefits of operating on AWS. You will also partner with various teams across AWS, including sales, training, and go-to-market (GTM) teams, to build effective marketing programs that engage customers and promote service adoption. Your ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority will be essential as you work to shape the product vision and ensure that key messages are effectively communicated across all channels. The AWS Cloud Operations team is dedicated to driving revenue and growth from a diverse range of customers, from small startups to large enterprises and government agencies. You will have the opportunity to test and refine new marketing approaches, leveraging both traditional and digital marketing channels to reach your audience. Responsibilities

  • Drive product marketing for AWS Monitoring & Observability (AMO) solution, part of the AWS Cloud Operations portfolio
  • Own the gathering of customer insight, and the development of messaging & positioning, use cases, value propositions, marketing content, and marketing programs for AMO
  • Lead without direct authority with internal stakeholders: Influence product and engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features, and GTM/sales teams to land key messages and content
  • Partner effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, partner marketing, and evangelists to drive marketing for the AMO business
  • Collaborate effectively within Cloud Operations product marketing team to drive success of the portfolio
  • Craft and execute campaigns and leverage owned, earned, and paid channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS
  • Test and refine new marketing approaches and bold and creative ideas

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
