About the position

The Product Marketing Manager - Clinical Oncology at Illumina is responsible for managing and driving outbound marketing activities for the Clinical Oncology portfolio. This role involves building marketing strategies and campaigns, coordinating with regional marketing teams, and working cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of marketing strategies. The position requires a deep understanding of the next-generation sequencing (NGS) market and the precision medicine landscape, as well as the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates on positioning statements and outbound campaigns for clinical oncology in collaboration with the team and functions across the organization.
  • Responsible for leading outbound marketing activities and content creation for new product introductions and on-market products globally for targeted panels.
  • Responsible for global coordination of marketing activities and alignment to strategy.
  • Drive the growth expected in the clinical oncology market and track relevant business metrics.
  • Contribute to the long-term product and marketing strategy for clinical oncology.
  • Attend key Oncology conferences and work with customers and KOLs to drive adoption of Illumina's Oncology portfolio.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in scientific discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • 7 years of clinical product marketing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the rapidly evolving oncology testing market and familiarity with precision medicine initiatives in Pharma.
  • Experience with molecular diagnostic technologies, oncology testing applications, and NGS utilization in these markets.
  • Experience marketing to molecular diagnostic laboratories and healthcare providers is a nice to have.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to connect detailed analysis to larger strategy.
  • Demonstrated effective collaboration in matrixed or highly cross-functional business settings.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering effective and strategic marketing plans for products on market.
  • Experience working on companion diagnostic opportunities from either a testing or marketing perspective.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NGS markets, diagnostics, and/or oncology product lines.
