About the position

The primary purpose of the Product Marketing Manager, cobas liat position is to develop marketing strategies, tools, and tactics that drive growth, profitability, and predictability for the cobas liat portfolio. This role provides leadership for a specific area of responsibility within marketing to accomplish strategic and tactical business objectives. The Product Marketing Manager will support the Group Marketing Manager in executing strategy and tactics, business planning processes, cycle and business review meetings, resource management, and developing business area knowledge. The successful candidate will work closely with local departments and global teams to manage and support programs that ensure the success of the portfolio in the market. This includes the development of all elements of the marketing mix. The role requires effective collaboration within a cross-functional team to inspire and influence above authority. The Product Marketing Manager may also develop all marketing deliverables for product commercialization and lead the development of product labeling required for development and US launches. In addition, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote the cobas liat portfolio and total solution. This position plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness and loyalty by utilizing all marketing channels. The manager will develop and execute strategies, tactics, and programs to drive uptake of the current portfolio in the market, including the commercialization of new products and the execution of launch plans and field/multi-channel rollouts. The role also involves developing product messaging and communication via all marketing channels and serving as a key point of contact for sales collateral, competitive positioning, and customer engagement throughout the customer lifecycle. The duties are varied and complex, often involving research, analysis, and solution development, requiring originality and ingenuity. The Product Marketing Manager will provide direction on issues of expertise and assist department leadership in setting strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategy and tactics aligned with the strategic plan to accomplish business objectives.
  • Develop business and marketing plans for the assigned area, including pricing strategies, market positioning, and sales plans.
  • Lead the development of marketing deliverables for product commercialization, including user documents and labeling for launches.
  • Participate in and evaluate market research and analysis, promotions, and advertising associated with assigned segments, brands, or products.
  • Develop business area mastery, including understanding market segments, business models, and key metrics that define success.
  • Proactively address competition and ensure effective attack messaging and sales direction.
  • Lead commercialization strategy of assigned products, including development of launch plans and field/multi-channel rollouts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5 years of marketing, business, sales, or related business experience.
  • Preferred: Master's degree.
  • 8 years of marketing, business, sales, or related business experience.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience building multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital/social media.
  • Experience utilizing and leading marketing agencies.
