About the position

The AWS Cloud Storage Product Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager specializing in data migration and hybrid cloud storage. This role is pivotal in developing clear, differentiated, and compelling messaging for AWS and its services. The primary objective is to educate customers on the possibilities of building on AWS, particularly focusing on the migration of data and the advantages of hybrid cloud storage solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product marketing, particularly within storage vendors, public cloud, or SaaS companies, and will be adept at creating engaging content that simplifies complex topics for customers. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling content that highlights the use cases and value propositions of migrating data to AWS. You will support various marketing programs aimed at driving awareness and adoption of AWS services. The position requires a passion for technology and a proven track record in producing high-quality marketing content. You will be responsible for defining the value proposition for AWS data migration services, crafting messaging that resonates with target audiences, and scaling this messaging through various channels, including the website, blogs, events, and campaigns. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will own the messaging and positioning of key AWS data migration services, such as AWS DataSync, AWS Storage Gateway, and AWS Transfer Family. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to distill key functionalities and benefits into effective marketing messages. Additionally, you will engage with field and digital marketing teams to integrate joint messaging into lead generation and customer engagement programs. Your responsibilities will also include developing audience-specific messages and tools, managing content strategy across communication channels, and driving successful service launches with a focus on customer benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Define the value proposition for migrating data to AWS for customers.
  • Build compelling content aligned to the migration services portfolio to drive awareness and adoption of AWS.
  • Scale messaging through key channels including the website, blog, events, and campaigns.
  • Own messaging and positioning of key strategic AWS data migration services such as AWS DataSync, AWS Storage Gateway, and AWS Transfer Family.
  • Collaborate with AWS product and engineering teams to distill key functionality and benefits of major launches into product marketing messages.
  • Engage with AWS field and digital marketing teams to identify and integrate joint messaging and content into lead generation and customer engagement programs.
  • Craft and develop compelling audience and initiative specific messages and tools (product videos, collateral, demos, presentations, how-to guides, etc.).
  • Own content strategy and execution for key communication channels including website, blog, social media, events, and emails.
  • Drive successful service launches inclusive of customer benefit messaging and positioning.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience in partnership and product marketing.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels.
