About the position

The AWS Cloud Storage Product Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for Data Migration and Hybrid Cloud Storage. This role is pivotal in developing clear, differentiated, and compelling messaging for AWS and its services, particularly focusing on educating customers about the possibilities of migrating data to AWS and building hybrid cloud storage solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product marketing, ideally within a storage vendor, public cloud, or SaaS company, and will be responsible for creating engaging content that communicates the value propositions of AWS's migration services. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality marketing materials that resonate with customers. This includes crafting messaging for key AWS data migration services such as AWS DataSync, AWS Storage Gateway, and AWS Transfer Family. You will also engage with engineering and sales teams to promote new features and services, ensuring that the marketing strategies align with customer needs and market trends. Your role will involve driving awareness and adoption of AWS services through various channels, including the website, blogs, events, and campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for technology and a talent for translating complex topics into accessible content. You will be expected to manage the content strategy for multiple communication channels, ensuring that all messaging is consistent and impactful. Responsibilities

  • Define the value proposition for migrating data to AWS for customers.
  • Build compelling content aligned to the migration services portfolio that drives awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS.
  • Scale messaging through key channels including the website, blog, events, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with AWS product and engineering teams to distill key functionality and benefits of major launches into product marketing messages.
  • Engage with AWS field and digital marketing teams to integrate joint messaging and content into lead generation and customer engagement programs.
  • Craft and develop audience-specific messages and tools such as product videos, collateral, demos, and presentations.
  • Own content strategy and execution for key communication channels including website, blog, social media, and emails.
  • Drive successful service launches with customer benefit messaging and positioning.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience in partnership and product marketing.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels.
  • Proven product marketing experience at a storage vendor, public cloud, or SaaS company.

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives.
  • Experience owning and driving large-scale cross-functional programs.
