About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Downstream at Abbott will play a crucial role in the Neuromodulation business, focusing on implantable devices that assist patients with chronic pain and movement disorders. This position involves acting as the voice of the patient, clinician, and sales representative, ensuring that product development aligns with market needs and insights. The manager will be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, and the overall marketing strategy for the product portfolio, including global launch planning and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the patient, clinician, and sales representative on development programs.
  • Develop and own customer requirements, providing benchmark analysis against competitive solutions.
  • Perform market research, competitive analysis, forecasting, and ROI justification for features and improvements.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to define an insight-driven product roadmap.
  • Set growth vision for therapy area, identify unmet needs and new markets, and advocate for solutions.
  • Contribute to the annual marketing plan by providing market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and all aspects of the marketing mix.
  • Lead global commercial launch planning and execution for new products and indications.
  • Manage portfolio lifecycle including clinical data planning, inventory and pricing strategy, and market expansion assessments.
  • Represent the business during product demonstrations, testing programs, advisory boards, and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of product marketing and commercial launch experience within the medical device or similar industry, with at least 2 years of commercial marketing experience.
