About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for the ECI division at KLA will play a pivotal role in shaping the market requirements for our product lines, which are essential for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of product strategy definition, market research, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing business and product marketing plans, managing product life cycles, and ensuring effective product positioning in the marketplace. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to enhance existing products and drive business objectives across specific regions and accounts. In this role, the Product Marketing Manager will engage in activities such as creating product presentations for key customers, defining strategies for production penetration and adoption, and supporting both pre-sales and after-sales projects. The position demands a strong educational background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields, along with significant experience in product marketing or applications engineering. The candidate should possess knowledge of semiconductor or packaging cleanroom processes, and familiarity with ECD (Electrochemical Deposition) processes and chemical metrology will be advantageous. The role also involves a considerable amount of travel, estimated at 30-40%, including international travel, to meet with customers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be adept at technical presentations, market analysis, forecasting product demand, and conducting competition analysis, all while maintaining a focus on customer needs and product pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop market requirements for product(s) or product line(s) in the ECI division.
  • Define product strategy and conduct market research to identify customer needs.
  • Create business and product marketing plans and manage product life cycles (PLC).
  • Own product positioning in the marketplace and customer engagement from penetration to adoption.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales departments to improve existing products.
  • Develop product presentations for key customers and define production penetration and adoption strategies for specific accounts.
  • Support pre-sales and after-sales projects, focusing on business objectives for certain regions/accounts.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 7 years related work experience OR Master's Level Degree and 10 years related work experience OR Bachelor's Level Degree and 12+ years related work experience.
  • Strong educational foundation in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in product marketing or applications engineering.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor or packaging cleanroom/fab processes.
  • Experience with ECD (Electrochemical Deposition) processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with chemical metrology is a plus.
  • Ability to create technical presentations and executive summaries.
  • Experience in customer engagements and market analysis.
