About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Floor Care at Midea is responsible for overseeing product management and marketing strategies within the floor care category. This role focuses on product positioning, competitive analysis, market strategies, and consumer insights to drive revenue growth and ensure successful product launches. The manager will collaborate with various teams to develop business plans, manage product lifecycles, and support key account management.

Responsibilities

  • Be the segment expert in the floor care category for industry trends, regulatory issues, competition moves, pricing, and other marketing intelligence analysis.
  • Achieve targeted revenues (Price and Quantity) and maintain healthy inventory.
  • Assist in the development of the business plan for the category; execute USA specific category strategies and plans.
  • Coordinate product planning across the matrix with R&D and PD; identify opportunities for potential NPD; develop road map, local line-up logic, product positioning, and naming convention.
  • Support key accounts management and sales rep management in product sell-in, assist in developing channel and pricing strategy for new product launches; prepare for product line reviews.
  • Manage the new product launch process to ensure on-time, on-strategy, on-specs product delivery; drive the brief for product and marketing communications and retailer/distributor activation.
  • Ensure product launch readiness including all digital assets, packaging artwork, instruction manuals, and product materials to support the field training teams and after sales.
  • Manage product lifecycle by driving sell-thru, aligning PSI forecasts, and managing end-of-life strategy and transition.
  • Support CMI team in consumer research, field testing; work with after sales team to monitor and analyze consumer reviews to ensure continuous product improvement.
  • Coordinate with HQ the necessary technical requirements for the US market; provide financial forecasts by working with cross-functional teams (sales, operation team, Amazon team).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Business or related field is required; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in launching consumer products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage projects with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in product management within the home appliance industry.
  • Familiarity with consumer research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis.
