About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager for the AWS Support tooling portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for a suite of intelligent self-service, automation, event-management, and best-practice technologies. This portfolio includes key products such as AWS Well-Architected, AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Health, and AWS re: Post/re: Post Private. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of compelling positioning and messaging that resonates with customers, driving awareness and adoption of these services. You will work closely with engineering teams to distill complex functionalities into clear and impactful marketing messages that highlight the benefits of AWS Support tooling. In this role, you will craft and develop a variety of marketing content, including presentations, whitepapers, infographics, webinars, customer success stories, product videos, and how-to guides. Your efforts will be crucial in launching new services, ensuring that customer benefit messaging and positioning are effectively communicated across multiple channels. You will also own the web strategy and manage AWS-owned marketing channels, including social media, on-network promotions, events, and email campaigns. Collaboration will be key to your success, as you will work effectively across various teams within AWS, including engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists. Continuous measurement and optimization of product marketing initiatives will be essential to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with business goals and are driving the desired outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to make a strategic impact on AWS's business planning and growth strategy, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the value proposition and messaging strategies for driving awareness and adoption of AWS Support tooling.
  • Work with engineering teams to distill key functionality and benefits into product marketing messages.
  • Craft & develop compelling stories, content and tools (presentations, whitepapers, infographics, webinars, customer success stories, product videos, how to guides etc.) that land multi-channel.
  • Drive successful service launches inclusive of customer benefit messaging and positioning.
  • Own web strategy and AWS owned marketing channels including social, on-network promotion, events, and emails.
  • Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve business goals.
  • Continuously measure and optimize product marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables).
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels.
  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs.
  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cloud computing or technology marketing.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and products.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
