About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Google Maps Platform is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and execution for the product. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape product positioning, drive product launches, and create compelling marketing narratives. The manager will engage in audience and market research, develop content, and implement strategies to enhance product adoption and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the developer and technical decision makers and translate learnings and insights into messaging.
  • Own messaging, craft and build out product narrative over time, promote through launches, and sustain with landings.
  • Partner with product, marketing, partnerships, and engineering to develop industry leading moments to share point of view.
  • Identify, develop, or manage the creation of a variety of content types (e.g., written, videos, presentations, etc.) as needed to fuel sales and product led growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across business to business marketing products.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or MS in computer science or engineering.
  • Experience with developer platforms and ecosystems.
  • Ability to drive product launches and campaigns.
  • Ability to manage technical concepts related to AI and geo-spatial.
  • Ability to discuss technical details and translate them into compelling marketing messages.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
