About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at HammerHead is responsible for managing assigned product lines throughout their lifecycle, focusing on market analysis, product portfolio management, new product development, and existing product management. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and profitability while contributing to the overall business strategy. The position requires a strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to develop innovative products that meet those needs and position HammerHead as an industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely analysis of markets, applications, customers, and competitors.
  • Develop and maintain a vision and roadmap for assigned products.
  • Lead new product development projects from initial assessment through product launch.
  • Gain and apply in-depth market and customer knowledge to develop customer-centric products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from inception to obsolescence.
  • Develop an annual cost budget for the product management function and manage cost performance.
  • Communicate annual functional performance objectives and execute strategies to meet those objectives.
  • Lead the commercialization of products through branding, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Identify and realize process improvement opportunities related to product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant major; BS in Engineering, Business or similar desired.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in product management or marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge of the underground construction industry and products.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Good cost management skills and problem-analysis abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and people-management skills.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and influencing ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in developing and marketing products.
