About the position

The Product Marketing Manager II - Social Media at GM Financial is responsible for crafting and executing creative social media strategies that enhance brand awareness and customer engagement. This role combines creativity with strategic planning, focusing on content creation for various social platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals. The manager will also oversee community management and ensure effective communication with customers throughout their journey.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, produce, create, edit and implement content for social media channels, including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Indeed/Glassdoor, and Google.
  • Partner with Brand Engagement team to develop, implement and manage organic and paid strategies that support business initiatives.
  • Act as channel owner and community manager for social channels, ensuring timely responses to users and addressing issues.
  • Execute high-profile marketing initiatives that align with business needs and create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Function as a strategic link between business stakeholders, channel owners, and technology teams to drive successful correspondence development.
  • Manage customer communications for every touchpoint along the journey, ensuring alignment with marketing plans and business goals.
  • Work directly with product managers and marketing team members to plan and implement goals, strategies, and campaigns around products and consumer touchpoints.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and influencers to support B2C/B2B marketing strategies.
  • Influence high-level prioritization of marketing initiatives across channels and touchpoints.
  • Identify and execute opportunities within the customer lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to take testing to market.
  • Measure, assess, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and various tactics and collateral assets.
  • Understand and evangelize the organization's vision, translating it into a roadmap of features and enhancements for customer experiences.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support end-to-end, cross-channel customer journey correspondence through collaboration for a consistent customer experience.
  • Participate in planning for the future direction of B2C/B2B channels and features based on customer needs and insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years as a social media manager or content creator.
  • Experience in lifecycle marketing, account management, product marketing, product management, road mapping, and agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of project execution, completing campaigns or projects on time and on budget.
  • Proven ability to develop and create engaging content, specifically video, for social media.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Express, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries, and deliver business insights.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), cross-collaboration, and team skills.
