About the position

The Marketing Manager at McGraw Hill will play a crucial role in driving growth and market success within the PreK-12 educational sector, specifically focusing on Math, Science, and Social Studies. This position involves leveraging market research and customer insights to inform marketing strategies, product development, and sales enablement initiatives. The role is designed for a collaborative individual who can synthesize data, challenge the status quo, and effectively communicate the value of educational products to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage market research and voice of customer data to drive growth in the PreK-12 market.
  • Collaborate with Custom Portfolio and regional sales leadership to achieve targeted market results.
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to make strategic recommendations.
  • Define target audience and personas in collaboration with Product Development.
  • Translate market research into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and messaging for products.
  • Manage creative production for various marketing assets, including print and online collateral.
  • Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and provide differentiation strategies.
  • Support the development of business cases and product development timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Marketing and/or Campaign Marketing in the K-12 educational publishing industry.
  • Understanding of the K12 curriculum market and customer profiles.
  • Experience partnering with product development teams and successful product launches.
  • Led segmentation, positioning, pricing, campaigning, and new product development practices.
  • Strong ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience working with Sales leadership to improve marketing and sales support strategies.
