About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at Abbott Laboratories is responsible for managing the product area in alignment with the global marketing plan. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert on products and solutions, collaborating with various teams, and supporting the development and commercialization of Digital Health Solutions (DHS). The position focuses on identifying growth opportunities, executing marketing initiatives, and ensuring successful product launches while providing leadership throughout the product development cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify new opportunities to grow and differentiate the franchise.
  • Support the development and management of a successful Digital Health Solutions (DHS) franchise.
  • Collaborate on the execution of global marketing initiatives to grow the business.
  • Serve as product/market expert related to product positioning and competitive information.
  • Provide direction on user needs and product requirements based on market research and customer input.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives such as portfolio management and long-range planning.
  • Provide leadership and direction to R&D and support organizations throughout the product development cycle.
  • Develop sales tools and training materials to support sales and customer communications.
  • Ensure launch and post-launch success by supporting global commercial organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of product marketing, sales, or equivalent experience in healthcare or medical products.
  • Prior experience working within the diagnostics field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in product management/development and launch, including go-to-market planning.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, strategic planning, critical thinking, decision-making capabilities, and analysis of market conditions.
