About the position

The Product Marketing Manager - Market Development at Meta Reality Labs is responsible for driving the growth of potential audiences for augmented reality products across various geographies. This role involves developing strategies for product launches, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution. The position is pivotal in facilitating leadership decisions regarding product and technology investments, particularly in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive strategies to support the launch of products in new geographies and verticals.
  • Provide critical support on unplanned high-priority projects, creating structure and execution plans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, challenges, and trends in target markets.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategy and execution for the Augmented Reality business.
  • Build strategic capabilities to identify and prioritize business development opportunities.
  • Identify and resolve critical program risks, particularly with external factors like industry trends and partners.
  • Lead work across teams to inform annual planning, investment strategy, prioritization, and other ongoing business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, strategy, management consulting, product management, portfolio operations, or a technical field.
  • 7+ years of business experience, including managing cross-functional and global teams in technology, internet, or media industries.
  • Experience working directly with partners and stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-suite level.
  • Experience delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to bring together a range of perspectives and personalities.
  • Experience creating structure and execution plans from multiple sources of information in a fast-paced environment.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and experience creating structure where there were none.

Nice-to-haves

  • JD, MBA, or a graduate degree in business, strategy, management consulting, product management, portfolio operations, or a technical field.
