About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Section Marketing at the American Bar Association (ABA) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans and programs for assigned Sections. This role ensures that marketing initiatives align with the ABA's master marketing plan, driving member attraction and retention, increasing non-dues revenue, and enhancing membership value. The position requires collaboration with ABA leaders and members to create effective promotional strategies and manage a team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development and implementation of marketing plans and programs for assigned Section(s).
  • Ensures Section marketing programs align with the ABA's master marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Develops, designs, and deploys targeted marketing initiatives to attract new members and retain existing ones.
  • Creates and recommends annual marketing plans and supporting budgetary requirements, accountable for marketing spend and ROI.
  • Collaborates with ABA leaders and members in creating and deploying promotional strategies.
  • Manages the design, production, and delivery of marketing messages across various channels.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to a team of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least six years' experience in marketing, including responsibilities for fulfilling annual revenue goals and developing marketing plans.
  • Experience in managing marketing budget plans and reporting on marketing spend and ROI.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills to garner consensus on marketing initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Previous formal supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in digital and/or social media marketing.
  • Work experience in a not-for-profit, NGO, or association.
