About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Sexual Health at Abbott is responsible for driving the execution of the global brand marketing strategy within the molecular diagnostics business unit. This role involves maintaining worldwide product expertise, supporting new product development, and ensuring alignment across various functions to achieve business goals. Success is measured against sales and margin expectations, as well as the competency of the sales force and market image.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain worldwide market expertise for products and franchises, including knowledge of competitor products and strategies, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation, product positioning, and competitive assessments.
  • Create and develop strategies for new product commercialization.
  • Assess new markets and opportunities in support of business development and research & development.
  • Partner with global peers and in-market experts to build the brand and achieve business goals.
  • Ensure alignment of cross-functions at Headquarters and Regions to insight direction.
  • Liaison effectively with global stakeholders in a matrix organizational design to bring plans to fruition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 5 years of substantial financial skills, market analysis, and advanced communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and executing a product launch.
  • At least 5 years of strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in understanding technical and scientific information.
  • At least 5 years of understanding and complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Clinical/Scientific Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years in marketing (upstream and/or downstream) with preferably 1+ years in global marketing.
  • Experience working in health care/med device/health care startup organizations.
  • Previous experience in product commercialization, marketing campaign development, customer segmentation.
  • Sales experience.
  • Sexual Health experience.
