About the position

MathWorks is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for Simscape Fluids, a role that requires an individual with a strong engineering background in system-level design and simulation of fluid systems. This position is pivotal in the development and marketing of Simscape Fluids, which is utilized for modeling fluid systems across various applications, including battery and electrical thermal management, refrigeration, HVAC systems, and fluid power in vehicles, aircraft, or buildings. The successful candidate will work closely with field application engineers, software developers, account managers, and product and industry managers to drive business development strategies, support key customers, implement marketing plans, and define the long-term technology roadmap for the product. In this role, you will interact with end users and thought leaders to identify target applications for fluid simulation. Understanding customer workflows and effectively communicating the value of simulation for fluid systems development will be crucial. You will collaborate with the software development team to define product requirements and support worldwide sales teams with content that drives business. Additionally, you will contribute to long-term strategic plans, conduct competitive analysis, and develop programs to pursue new market opportunities through various promotional channels. Producing and delivering demos, videos, articles, technical papers, and customer testimonials will also be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Simulink, Simscape, Modelica, Amesim, or equivalent software.
  • Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries.
  • MBA or product marketing/business development experience with a global software company.
  • Experience in working with sales and driving technical engagements with customers.
  • Strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Proven customer interaction skills.
  • Analytical personality with strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in battery/electrical thermal management, refrigeration, HVAC systems, or fluid power in vehicles, aircraft, or buildings.
