About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at Teradyne is responsible for driving business growth through collaboration with various teams, including engineering, sales, and finance. This role focuses on supporting product management and marketing efforts for complex electronic systems, targeting multiple market verticals such as Computing, Automotive, and Industrial/Defense. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical background and extensive experience in product management to enhance product profitability and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Teradyne Sales & Product Management to support design-in opportunities and pre-sales activities.
  • Engage with Teradyne Engineering for new product concept, development, and deployment efforts.
  • Work with Teradyne Operations to manage new product introduction and product life cycle management.
  • Coordinate with Teradyne Finance to track revenue plans and maximize profitability.
  • Analyze and develop product and sales plans, presenting the Production Board Test mid-term plan.
  • Identify technical market trends and emerging customers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
  • Participate in strategic design-in activities to aid market share growth.
  • Develop competitive and differentiation collateral; assist in training sales and service engineers and managers.
  • Assist with product management of TestStation and Nano test systems.
  • Develop product and package pricing strategy.
  • Build strategic customer relationships with new and break-in customers.
  • Negotiate account master terms, contract documents, and discount policies.

Requirements

  • A degree in computer, electrical, software, or systems engineering.
  • Work experience in the domain of their engineering degree.
  • An MBA degree is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years in product management or product marketing of complex electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
  • 10+ years of marketing and/or product management experience with capital equipment, electronics related sales, and/or electronic test topics.
  • Strong technical background and analytical skills; demonstrated experience in engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • People management or team lead experience in design is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, synthesis, and integration skills.
