About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager for WhatsApp Privacy and Compliance, you will be responsible for leading consumer-facing elements of privacy and regulatory compliance launches. This role involves identifying insights, influencing product roadmaps, advocating for user transparency and controls, developing messaging, and setting metrics for success. You will collaborate closely with various teams including Product, Engineering, Policy, Privacy, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships to ensure alignment in go-to-market efforts from inception to launch.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for WhatsApp's privacy and compliance roadmap including goals, metrics for success, asset development and launch planning with cross functional partners while minimizing risk.
  • Influence and shape product strategies, positioning and narratives through the use of data and insights for target audiences in close collaboration with Product Management, Research, Communications and Brand.
  • Establish strong partnerships with cross-functional teams across Marketing as well as Communications, Marketing Insights, Product Management and more.
  • Tackle complex, highly visible and sensitive issues with a strategic, data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrate confidence, judgment, and excellent execution on fast-moving projects.
  • Identify product needs and emerging trends in the privacy, security, and encryption space.
  • Demonstrate a learning mindset and willingness to take the initiative and make things happen.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing and/or marketing, product management, or business strategy
  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience working with Product Management, Marketing and Communications teams at all levels of management
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience marketing new and emerging technologies
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies based on audience driven insights
  • Experience driving presentations with executives and cross functional teams
  • Project and program management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing and/or marketing, product management, or business strategy
  • Interest in WhatsApp's mission and user privacy
  • Direct experience as a product marketer on a technical product that impacts policy, privacy, or security
  • Experience working on complicated issues such as data sharing, regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR, DMA), or internet safety
