About the position

Rigaku is a world leader in X-ray diffraction (XRD), scattering, fluorescence, imaging analyses, Raman spectroscopy, and thermal analysis equipment manufacturing. The Product Marketing Manager position is designed for an individual with a background as an XRD Application Scientist who is eager to transition into the marketing field. This role is ideal for a scientist who is not only interested in marketing but also wants to collaborate with subject matter experts and external partners to create educational content aimed at potential customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing marketing materials that effectively communicate the value of Rigaku's XRD product line. In this role, the Product Marketing Manager will identify and create essential sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, specification documents, and presentation slide decks. They will also set up and maintain a sales portal to ensure that all marketing materials are current and accessible. The position requires the creation of web content for the XRD product line, which includes application examples, case studies, blog articles, webinars, workshops, seminars, and e-books. The manager will plan the production and distribution schedule for this web content and will collaborate with outside experts to enhance the quality and reach of the materials produced. Promoting web content through social media and email campaigns is a key responsibility, as is building a strong leader profile within the XRD industry. The Product Marketing Manager will also organize and present educational webinars, workshops, and seminars to inform and engage potential customers about XRD and its applications. This position is dynamic and requires a blend of scientific knowledge and marketing acumen, making it a unique opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a competitive and high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and create important sales and marketing collateral for the XRD product line, including brochures, specification documents, presentation slide decks, etc.
  • Set up a sales portal to share the sales and marketing collateral and keep it up to date.
  • Create web content for the XRD product line, including application examples, case studies, blog articles, webinars, workshops, seminars, e-books, etc.
  • Plan web content production and distribution schedule.
  • Identify and collaborate with outside experts to create web content.
  • Promote web content via social media and email campaigns.
  • Build a thorough leader profile in the XRD industry by building a presence on social media.
  • Organize and present educational webinars, workshops, and seminars about XRD and its applications.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Powder X-ray Diffraction and thin film analysis (HRXRD, XRR, GIXRD) is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience as an application scientist providing pre-sales and post-sales support for an XRD manufacturer.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of capital equipment sales business is preferred but not necessary.

  • Experience in product marketing is not necessary but preferred.
