About the position

M-D Building Products is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of product marketing initiatives for their hardware products. This role focuses on understanding consumer needs, driving new product development, and creating effective marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and sales. The position requires a proactive team player who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify consumer trends and product opportunities.
  • Establish and manage innovation and new product pipeline to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Develop and refine product messaging and value propositions for target audiences.
  • Oversee customers' plan-o-gram layouts including product, display, messaging, and merchandising strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment across various teams.
  • Utilize sales and financial data to manage product offerings and merchandising.
  • Analyze category financials including pricing, costs, margins, and budgets.
  • Exercise full P&L ownership of the category to meet annual sales and margin goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience within a Retail/Consumer goods sector.
  • Experience in the Hardware Industry is a plus.
