About the position

Telemecanique Sensors, a YAGEO company, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to oversee the management and execution of assigned products and product families for sale within North America and Canada. This role is crucial in driving the rollout of new products, which includes developing marketing materials, promotional tools, pricing strategies, and identifying targeted applications and OEMs. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding the value proposition of assigned products and effectively communicating this to the sales team to enhance customer, OEM, and distributor promotion. The successful candidate will gather customer input and business needs to provide feedback for product enhancements. They will execute new product strategies aimed at increasing Telemecanique's market share, which involves creating competitive pricing structures based on market intelligence and initial forecast projections. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with global product managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to highlight local successes and provide commercial and application support for post-sale opportunities, including quality or custom modifications. Marketing efforts will also include lead management and generation through various channels such as tradeshows, advertisements, and digital campaigns, with key performance indicators (KPIs) established to monitor revenue generated from these activities. The position requires a proactive approach to product management and a strong understanding of industrial automation solutions, including control system architecture and sensor design.

Responsibilities

  • Rollout of assigned new products in North America, including marketing material, playbook, promotional tools, pricing, and targeted applications and OEMs.
  • Understand assigned product's value proposition and externalize to the US and Canada sales team for customer, OEM and distributor promotion.
  • Gather customer input and business needs to provide feedback for assigned products.
  • Execute new product strategies to drive Telemecanique market share growth, including information for tailored regional and application specific development.
  • Create competitive pricing for rollout of new products and gather market intelligence for competitive pricing feedback and initial forecast projections.
  • Collaborate with global product managers, engineers, and manufacturing to highlight local wins and success stories.
  • Provide commercial and application support for post-sale product opportunities, including quality or custom modification.
  • Drive marketing for lead management and generation, including tradeshows, advertisements, search words or other campaigns, with KPIs for monitoring revenue from activities.

Requirements

  • Proven history of rolling out new products in a diverse organization.
  • Experience with Salesforce or ERP to collaborate on opportunities, wins and funnel activity.
  • Good communication and organization skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and verbal communication skills for small to medium audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and highly motivated.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.
  • Willing and able to travel within the United States and Canada (up to 25%).
  • Bachelor's degree; Electrical components selling experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of industrial product management experience in an industrial environment.
