About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at Overhead Door Corporation is responsible for the strategy and product lifecycle management of high-performance doors under the Overhead Door and Wayne Dalton brands. This role involves leading a cross-functional Product Business Team to enhance sales and margins, while also managing the financial P&L for the product line and conducting market research to inform product development and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial P&L for High Speed Doors, monitoring key performance metrics.
  • Manage existing high-performance door product lines and develop a 5-year roadmap.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive analysis, and macro-industry trends.
  • Determine the new product development roadmap, customer requirements, launch commercialization, and financial returns.
  • Explore and develop new opportunities through products, branding, channels, processes, and technologies.
  • Link product strategies to the overall strategic plan.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and sales organizations/channels.
  • Business development and product marketing background with experience in developing product plans and strategies.
  • Knowledge of brand marketing processes, market research, sales training, and field communications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills for internal groups, clients, and trade seminars.
  • Good problem-solving skills; Six Sigma training is a plus.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; action and results-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business or Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience in consumer durable or packaged goods.
