About the position

In this pivotal role within Azure & Industry Marketing, you will be at the forefront of designing and marketing Azure programs that empower our customers and partners to implement Azure solutions effectively. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to influence customer engagements and shape the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and messaging on a global scale. Your focus will be on our flagship offerings, Azure Migrate and Modernize, and Azure Innovate, where you will lead the marketing strategy that spans both internal and external audiences, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the customer experience. You will be responsible for crafting and delivering customer messaging across various channels, including digital, social media, and events. This role is high visibility and offers tremendous potential to drive direct impact for the Azure business and our customers. You will work closely with a passionate team that is dedicated to cloud technologies and the opportunities they create. Collaboration with Corporate Product Marketing Managers, sales, finance, and other teams will be essential as you strive to put customers first, leverage data to guide decisions, and continuously expand the scope and value of our flagship offerings. Responsibilities

  • Own strategy and execution of customer marketing for Azure offerings including messaging, web experience, digital marketing strategy, and research.
  • Lead launch strategy for Azure Innovate and Azure Migrate & Modernize offerings at key milestones, including internal and external communication, AR/PR strategy, and event strategy.
  • Partner closely with the Global Demand Center (GDC) to land Azure offerings across all relevant integrated marketing plans and relationship marketing engines.
  • Partner in the vision and design of customer experience v-next for Azure offerings to drive ACR and enhance customer value through offerings.
  • Understand offerings roadmap, and communicate and land across all relevant marketing vehicles such as customer and partner messaging updates and seller enablement.
  • Collaborate with Azure marketing Product Marketing Managers to land Azure offerings across all relevant strategy planning platforms, including fiscal year planning and customer journeys.
  • Act as a custodian of the customer journey, rationalizing against all other internal and external programs and offerings to position Azure offerings as hero offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in product marketing, product management, brand marketing, or advertising experience.
  • 2+ years' experience with cloud or SaaS product marketing.
  • Cross-functional team leadership skills to work with stakeholders from different organizations and levels.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to gain executive buy-in on strategy and report upwards.
  • Ability to influence without authority by understanding stakeholder motivations and driving to goals without direct authority.
  • Strategic thinking combined with attention to detail to maintain a big picture perspective while executing on specifics.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset to uphold high standards for customer experience and represent their voice.
  • Proven ability to execute with precision, owning high visibility marketing activities that require thorough planning and focused execution.
