About the position

Relay Payments is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager who can work cross-functionally with our marketing, sales, design, and engineering teams to drive our marketing strategy for our suite of innovative freight tech products. In this role, you will help define and evolve our product marketing strategy, always focusing on delivering value to our customers and prospects. This role will be the primary driver behind development and execution of marketing strategies that increase product awareness and adoption for emerging products and should be an expert in GTM strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches and feature rollouts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Own the product positioning and messaging to differentiate our products in the market. Develop compelling narratives that clearly communicate the value proposition to various buyer personas.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive threats. Use insights to shape product marketing strategies and provide feedback to product teams.
  • Partner with the sales, implementation, and account management teams to create impactful enablement materials such as product presentations, sales playbooks, case studies, objection-handling guides, and competitive battlecards.
  • Oversee the creation of product-related content, including datasheets, white papers, blog posts, website copy, videos, and webinars that effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Collaborate with agencies to create and execute product-specific marketing campaigns that drive awareness, leads, and customer engagement.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product marketing activities, such as product adoption rates, lead generation, and market share. Report regularly on performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with product management, sales, customer success, and other teams to ensure product marketing aligns with the broader company strategy and goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in a payments or technology company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically. Proven experience developing successful go-to-market strategies and positioning complex products in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of market research methodologies and competitive analysis. Familiarity with customer personas, segmentation, and buyer journey mapping.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make informed recommendations. Experience with metrics-driven marketing approaches.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment, especially with product, sales, and demand generation teams.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), product analytics tools, and other relevant marketing technologies.
  • You are an adaptive problem solver, willing to Own the Work and fill in gaps across roles and responsibilities as needed to make our product successful.
  • You use structured, diligent thinking to understand all key components necessary to drive our product's ongoing success.
