About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at PTC is responsible for creating compelling technical content that engages target audiences and supports commercial demand generation campaigns. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand product differentiators and customer pain points, translating technical information into persuasive messaging, and developing high-quality content such as whitepapers, eBooks, and videos. The position also focuses on optimizing content for SEO and measuring the impact of created content to refine future campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategy aligned with demand generation goals, targeting various stages of the buyer's journey.
  • Create high-quality technical content, including eBooks, blog posts, tip sheets, videos, etc. that resonate with our target audience and addresses their pain points.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical sales engineers (TSEs), and marketing teams to gather technical insights and translate them into compelling messaging and content.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive organic traffic growth.
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics to measure effectiveness and inform future content strategy.
  • Assess and prioritize incoming content requests, coordinating efforts between sales, demand generation, product management, and marketing functions to maximize impact and reduce duplication of work.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background, with experience in CAD or related field. Familiarity with Onshape, SOLIDWORKS, or Fusion 360 is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a product marketing manager, technical content manager, product manager, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of technical content creation.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a cross-functional and hybrid team environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret content performance metrics to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for technology and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, personable, pragmatic, with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to define and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Video and graphics creation and editing experience with Camtasia or Adobe Premiere a big plus.
