About the position

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing tailored marketing plans to support product launches and ongoing expansion. This role involves championing product development, creating compelling business narratives, and driving lead generation to increase sales revenue for assigned product lines. The manager collaborates with various teams to ensure effective marketing strategies and content creation, while also managing campaign programs and facilitating workshops to build market positioning narratives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement custom marketing plans and communication strategies to support successful product delivery.
  • Provide consultative services and informed recommendations to support departmental growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product management to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas.
  • Act as a primary thought leader in assigned product areas and contribute to defining the company's competitive edge.
  • Identify unknown needs of product areas to enable increased exposure and sales.
  • Work with sales support teams to ensure marketing approaches meet sales and client needs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and report required changes to the business.
  • Drive content creation and distribution efforts, including writing and coordinating educational materials.
  • Create marketing materials that enable sales activity, such as conversation kits, case studies, and social media posts.
  • Manage content maintenance schedules to ensure all materials are current and proofread as needed.
  • Build and manage campaign programs for national campaigns to achieve defined goals.
  • Act as marketing lead for product roll-outs and sales enablement campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to generate new, high-quality leads for assigned product areas.
  • Own campaign project management and engage stakeholders as needed.
  • Support calendar of events to promote key products or trending topics.
  • Implement and test Demand Generation and ABM tools to increase lead generation activity.
  • Facilitate cross-department workshops to build master narratives for assigned products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of related experience in product marketing or similar roles.
  • Less than 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and coordinate projects.
  • Experience in developing and implementing integrated communications approaches.
  • Good grasp of technology and ability to harness it for results.
  • Consultative and decisive, able to work with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work across multiple online marketing platforms.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, smartsheet, CMS and CRM tools, and Adobe Suite.
