About the position

The position is responsible for the strategy and product lifecycle management of the high-performance door business under the Overhead Door and Wayne Dalton brands. The role involves leading a cross-functional Product Business Team to implement action plans aimed at increasing sales and margins for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial P&L for High Speed Doors, including monitoring key performance metrics.
  • Manage existing high-performance door product lines and develop a 5-year roadmap.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive analysis, and macro-industry trends.
  • Determine the new product development roadmap, customer requirements, launch commercialization, and financial returns.
  • Explore and develop new opportunities through products, branding, channels, processes, and technologies.
  • Link product strategies to the overall strategic plan.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing environments and sales organizations/channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods.
  • Business development and product marketing background with experience in developing product plans and strategy work.
  • Knowledge of processes related to brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communications.
  • Computer literate in MS Office products.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills for both internal groups and clients/trade groups/seminars.
  • Good problem-solving skills; Six Sigma training is a plus.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; action and results-oriented.

  • MBA is a plus.
