About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) at Tyler Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in launching new software products and defining go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth for our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) vertical. Your responsibilities will include conducting market assessments, developing product launch plans, and establishing competitive positioning, pricing, packaging, and value propositions for the products in the subvertical markets we serve. You will be the subject matter expert, providing insights into market trends, buyer behavior, and competitive landscape, while coordinating software product launches and assisting with the analysis and definition of growth initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales, vertical marketing, and product management teams to ensure alignment of product, sales, and marketing strategies. Your expertise will significantly impact the business by driving new revenue opportunities and expanding market presence. You will be responsible for providing training and tools to the sales team, ensuring they have the insights needed to succeed in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage relationships at all levels of the organization, and possess a strong analytical mindset to support strategic decision-making. Your role will also involve up to 20% travel for client interactions, market research, and collaboration across Tyler Teams. You will need to be comfortable with a business ownership mentality, understanding the impact of product marketing activities on the business unit's P&L. With a proven track record of successfully bringing products to market, you will be instrumental in helping Tyler Technologies maintain its competitive edge and drive revenue growth for our innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market strategies and planning including assistance with market sizing, segmentation, addressable market analysis, buyer personas, competitive analysis, differentiators, and advising on the direction of product, marketing, and sales team plans to bring new products to market.
  • Develop a business case including financial modeling, sales projections, and ROI.
  • Support the launch of new products including coordinating the launch plan and helping to define product positioning, compelling messages, packaging, pricing, and product naming while advising on and monitoring demand generation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' product marketing or similar experience in the software market, ideally for the public sector; cloud-based, SaaS experience preferred.
  • Experience pricing, positioning, and launching SaaS products.
  • Strong analytical skills: experience in strategic market analysis, competitive intelligence, and/or business model analysis is preferred.
  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills - able to simplify and communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the government industry is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with PowerBI and MS Dynamics CRM is a plus.
