About the position

This position is responsible for building and executing tailored marketing plans to support the launch and ongoing expansion of product delivery. Our Product Marketing Managers champion product development and drive the creation of compelling business narratives to tell our story of innovation and growth in the marketplace, reaching target audiences and inspiring an increase in sales revenue for assigned product lines. Through a combination of campaign tactics and sales enablement resources, our Product Marketing Managers are focused on lead generation and supporting efforts that drive towards increased sales activity. The role involves several key responsibilities, including strategy support, content creation, campaign management, MarTech practice, and workshop facilitation. In terms of strategy support, the Product Marketing Manager will develop and implement custom marketing plans and communication strategies to support the needs of successful product delivery. This includes providing consultative services and informed recommendations to assigned areas in full support of departmental growth initiatives, collaborating with product management to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas, and acting as a primary thought leader in assigned product areas. Content creation is another critical aspect of the role, where the manager will drive content creation and distribution efforts across the company by writing, editing, and coordinating educational and insightful materials to strengthen our product proposition in the marketplace. This includes writing marketing materials that enable sales activity, managing all content, and ensuring quality control of all written and designed materials. In terms of campaign management, the Product Marketing Manager will build and manage campaign programs for assigned national campaigns to achieve defined goals. This includes acting as the marketing lead for product roll-out, product expansion, and sales enablement campaigns, as well as identifying areas of opportunity to generate new, high-quality leads for assigned product areas. The role also involves implementing and testing Demand Generation and ABM tools to increase lead generation activity, facilitating cross-department workshops to build master narratives for assigned products, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the effectiveness of the Product Marketing function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement custom marketing plans and communication strategies to support successful product delivery.
  • Provide consultative services and informed recommendations to support departmental growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product management to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas.

  • Identify unknown needs of product areas to enable increased exposure and sales.
  • Work with sales support teams to ensure approaches meet sales and client business needs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and report required changes to the business.
  • Drive content creation and distribution efforts across the company.
  • Write and create marketing materials that enable sales activity, including conversation kits, case studies, and social media posts.
  • Manage all content and generate maintenance schedules to ensure all content is current.
  • Manage project deadlines and coordinate workflow among stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure quality control of all written materials.
  • Build and manage campaign programs for assigned national campaigns to achieve defined goals.
  • Act as marketing lead for product roll-out, product expansion, and sales enablement campaigns.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to generate new, high-quality leads for assigned product areas.
  • Own campaign project management and engage producers and stakeholders as needed.
  • Support calendar of events to promote key products or trending topics in the marketplace.
  • Be accountable for on-time campaign deployment.
  • Implement and test Demand Generation and ABM tools to increase lead generation activity.
  • Facilitate cross-department workshops to build master narratives for assigned products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Master's Degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of related experience in product marketing or similar roles.
  • Less than 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and coordinate projects.
  • Experience developing and implementing multi-level, integrated communications approaches.
  • Good grasp of technology and how to effectively harness it to generate results.
  • Consultative and decisive, able to work with senior management and stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work across multiple online marketing platforms.
  • Innovative, yet practical with information flow and communication.
  • Computer and technical skills (MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, CMS and CRM tools, and Adobe Suite).
