About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Trimble's B2W/Civil Software Group is responsible for driving the marketing strategy and execution for civil sector products. This role involves gathering market intelligence, understanding customer needs, and creating effective product messaging and sales enablement materials. The manager will work cross-functionally to ensure the voice of the customer is represented and will lead go-to-market plans to enhance product visibility and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Gather quantitative external and internal market intelligence, maintaining a high level of Civil sector product expertise and field presence
  • Represent the 'voice of the customer' by conducting thorough customer research and understanding their journey from sale to implementation
  • Lead the creation and delivery of differentiated product messaging
  • Develop and execute product go-to-market plans
  • Create sales enablement materials, including internal and customer-facing presentations, playbooks, battle cards, and datasheets
  • Manage materials on Trimble's internal sales enablement hub (Seismic)
  • Conduct win/loss interviews and present findings
  • Assist Product Management with focus groups, usability, and other market validation research
  • Research and understand industry, buying habits, and competition for the product portfolio
  • Identify customer references for industry and customer referrals

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, successfully launching products and growing market share
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to market analysis, segmentation, and positioning
  • Creative and analytical mindset, adept at translating insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Ability to conduct interviews, onsite customer visits, and tradeshow events
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • CRM experience (Salesforce.com a plus - reports and dashboards)
  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing or business
