ABB is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for its Distribution Solutions Gas Insulated Switchgear portfolio, which includes primary GIS and ring main units (RMU) for the US market. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the portfolio strategy across all market segments, channels, and specific target accounts. This role is crucial in coordinating all marketing activities across LPGs according to the global strategy for GIS and RMU. The successful candidate will be located in a major metro area in the central or eastern US time zone, as this position can be hybrid or remote. In this role, the Product Marketing Manager will be mainly accountable for creating, planning, and ensuring the implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy. This includes defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy. The PMM will focus on achieving targets set for metrics such as total demand orders (by ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods, and on-time delivery as requested. Additionally, the PMM will evaluate market opportunities, determine appropriate activities aligned with the overall strategy, and coordinate opportunities across local divisions and local business units as appropriate. Ensuring balanced growth for all product lines, product groups, and business units is essential, as is creating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing a value-based selling approach. This position is integral to ABB's Distribution Solutions Division, which facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection, and control of power, improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid. The Division offers segment-specific products and solutions that serve utilities, industry, and infrastructure segments, providing the requisite medium voltage link between high-voltage transmission systems and low-voltage users.
