About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager at Seismic, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the messaging and go-to-market (GTM) strategies for our engagement and content automation solutions within the Enablement Cloud platform. This individual contributor role requires you to partner closely with the product organization to develop compelling messaging and GTM plans that effectively communicate the value of new products and enhancements. You will become an expert in the customer journey and buyer experience, ensuring that our offerings resonate with our target audience and meet their needs. In this role, you will lead the positioning and messaging for Seismic's offerings, focusing on buyer engagement capabilities that empower sellers to connect with customers throughout their buying journey. You will leverage your understanding of the product area and key buyer personas to define, prioritize, and launch new capabilities, while articulating Seismic's unique differentiation and value proposition in the market. Your responsibilities will include establishing the GTM vision and strategy for your product area, identifying market opportunities, and building business cases for expanding our market presence. You will conduct thorough research to create audience-centric messaging and value propositions that highlight Seismic's strengths against competitors. Additionally, you will oversee major product launches, ensuring that all marketing collateral and strategies align with buyer needs and drive successful adoption and growth. As a market-facing subject matter expert, you will collaborate with sales enablement and content teams to develop essential sales materials and support pricing and packaging optimization strategies. Your insights will be critical in driving retention, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives for the product area, as well as conducting user research to inform product packaging and internal stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Marketing to establish the go-to-market (GTM) vision and strategy for the product area.
  • Lead and develop product positioning and messaging by understanding brand and customer needs.
  • Research and create audience-centric messaging, positioning, and value propositions for product areas.
  • Ensure content and campaign strategies are centered around buyer needs and provide source documents to downstream teams.
  • Oversee major product launches including creating market requirements, launch plans, and collateral.
  • Serve as market-facing subject matter expert (SME) for the product area and interface with sales enablement, industry analysts, customers, and prospects.
  • Partner closely with sales enablement and content teams to develop sales materials.
  • Support efforts on pricing and packaging optimization strategies for the business.
  • Establish strategies to drive retention, upsell, and cross-sell for the product area.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research and definition of buyer personas.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or similar discipline at a B2B, SaaS company.
  • Experience working with sales enablement, martech, and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt and work at a fast-paced growth startup.
  • Proven ability to work with product and go-to-market teams to bring new products to market and meet or over-achieve goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal storytelling ability, including synthesizing insights and ideas into simple, succinct narratives.
  • Strong ability to understand complex considerations and frame them in a simple manner to drive collective understanding, alignment, and decision-making.
  • Experience using customer, competitive, and market intelligence to inform product roadmap and GTM strategy.
  • MBA, EMBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred, but not required.
