About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager at Cengage Group, you will play a crucial role in marketing a diverse portfolio of educational products. Your primary focus will be on collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive revenue, retention, and growth. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with both internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize with Product Managers and Sales partners on key targets, opportunities, and competitors.
  • Tell a compelling product story that engages our sales force, gains new customer markets, and drives revenue.
  • Partner with product teams to craft internal and external messaging about new and existing capabilities, features, and products.
  • Develop and promote customer-facing events and presentations to drive activations, sales conversions, and customer usage.
  • Create and manage customer-facing product information and content for priority products and channels and work with the web team to ensure products are accurately reflected on Cengage sites.
  • Analyze your business and align marketing strategies to the most important portfolio drivers.
  • Compile analytics for sales and marketing campaigns and share feedback with respective teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Business, Sales, or Communications.
  • 3+ years of Marketing or Sales experience.
  • Outstanding presentation skills in person and in a virtual environment.
  • Strong social skills; ability to work well with other team members, customers, sales, and collaborators across the organization.
  • Outgoing and positive with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
  • The creativity and resourcefulness needed to build engaging content strategies.
  • Passionate about digital education and customer outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with a sales force a plus.
  • Basic sales training video creation and editing skills a plus.
