About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager for the B2W/Civil Software Group at Trimble, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our products in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Civil Software Product Marketing, your primary responsibility will be to gather and analyze both quantitative and qualitative market intelligence, ensuring that you maintain a high level of expertise in the Civil sector products and their applications. You will represent the 'voice of the customer' within our organization, conducting thorough customer research to understand their journey from sale to implementation. This insight will be crucial in leading the creation and delivery of differentiated product messaging that resonates with our target audience. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans that align with our strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for creating sales enablement materials, including internal and customer-facing presentations, playbooks, battle cards, and datasheets. Managing these materials on Trimble's internal sales enablement hub (Seismic) will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will conduct win/loss interviews to gather valuable feedback and present your findings to the team. Your collaboration with Product Management will involve assisting with focus groups, usability studies, and other market validation research to ensure our products meet customer needs effectively. Your role will also require you to research and understand industry trends, customer buying habits, and competitive products to inform your marketing strategies. Identifying customer references for industry and customer referrals will be essential in building credibility and trust in our offerings. Responsibilities

  • Gather quantitative external and internal market intelligence, maintaining a high level of Civil sector product expertise and field presence.
  • Represent the 'voice of the customer' within our organization by conducting thorough customer research and understanding their journey from sale to implementation.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of differentiated product messaging.
  • Develop and execute product go-to-market plans.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, including internal and customer-facing sales presentations, playbooks, battle cards, and datasheets; manage materials on Trimble's internal sales enablement hub (Seismic).
  • Manage and execute win/loss interviews and present findings.
  • Assist Product Management with focus groups, usability and other market validation research.
  • Research and understand industry, buying habits and competition for our portfolio.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, successfully launching products and growing market share.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to market analysis, segmentation and positioning.
  • Creative and analytical mindset, adept at translating insights into actionable marketing strategies; willingness to pitch ideas and test new approaches.
  • Ability to conduct interviews, onsite customer visits and tradeshow events.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce.com a plus - reports and dashboards).
  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing or business.
