About the position

As a Product Marketing Manager at TEKsystems, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and influencing the market dynamics surrounding our products. Your primary responsibility will be to gather and analyze market intelligence, becoming the expert on our buyers, their purchasing behaviors, and the key criteria that drive their decisions. You will also need to have a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, positioning yourself as an expert on our competition and their strategies. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives. You will be tasked with documenting the buying process, which includes understanding where customers obtain information and the motivations behind their purchasing decisions. In conjunction with our marketing team, you will develop a robust marketing plan for the products you support, outlining key activities and budgets aimed at retaining existing customers while also acquiring new ones. Continuous assessment of the effectiveness of marketing programs will be essential, as you will need to report back to the business on necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Additionally, you will plan the launches of new products and manage the implementation of these plans across cross-functional teams. As the primary thought leader for the products you support, you will represent the company externally through speaking engagements and written content. Understanding and supporting our sales channels will also be a critical aspect of your role, as you will train them on the solutions we provide to our buyers and users, develop internal tools, and create external collateral to facilitate their efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market intelligence to understand buyers and their purchasing criteria.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and document competitor positioning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on various marketing projects.
  • Document the buying process and understand customer information sources.
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan for supported products, including activities and budgets.
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and report necessary changes to the business.
  • Plan and manage the launch of new products and updates to existing products.
  • Act as a thought leader for supported products through external engagements and written content.
  • Train sales channels on product solutions and develop necessary collateral.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience.
  • At least 2 years in a market-facing role, including delivering presentations and conducting market research.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot, Omniture, and Google Analytics.
