About the position

As the first marketing hire at Chalk, the Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the go-to-market (GTM) strategy. This position involves close collaboration with the Head of Revenue and various teams to define messaging, optimize campaigns, and drive revenue growth in a high-growth, early-stage environment. The role requires a blend of creativity and analytical skills to craft compelling user stories and execute multi-channel marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own and understand messaging related to MLOps and feature engineering.
  • Conduct thorough market and competitor research to identify and segment target markets.
  • Collaborate with sales and SDR teams to optimize messaging and campaigns.
  • Implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive pipeline, engagement, and retention.
  • Perform A/B testing and conversion rate optimization experiments.
  • Develop sales enablement materials such as decks, one-pagers, and case studies.
  • Contribute to content strategy across blogs, social media, and video.
  • Collaborate with MLE to understand product capabilities and opportunities.
  • Partner with developer advocacy to build a community of engaged users.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using data-driven analysis.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Product Marketing Manager or growth marketing role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a start-up environment preferred.
  • Strong strategic and creative go-to-market tactics.
  • Exceptional writing skills in both long and short form.
  • Desire to be customer-facing and work closely with developer advocacy.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative attitude with strong cross-functional skills.
  • Experience with GTM tech stack such as SFDC, Hubspot, Outreach, Clay.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with machine learning or data products.
  • Previous experience partnering directly with product or technical stakeholders.
