About the position

Microchip Technology, Inc. is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for its Wireless Systems Group. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the product life cycle for wireless products. The successful candidate will interact with customers and Microchip's field and technical teams to identify and define new product requirements. A solid understanding of wireless technologies, market trends, competitive insights, and requirements is essential for this position. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing the new product business case, business plan, and positioning strategies to grow Microchip's wireless business. In addition to product development, the role involves executing new product introductions, which includes pricing, forecasting, collateral development, and training. The manager will also oversee product launches, ensuring effective positioning, customer engagement, sales and channel training, and the creation of press collateral in collaboration with the marketing communication team. Supporting the existing wireless portfolio and customer base is also a key responsibility, which includes securing customers through visits, enhancing web presence, and developing training materials. Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the product life cycle for wireless products.
  • Interact with customers and Microchip's field and technical teams to identify and define new product requirements.
  • Develop a solid understanding of wireless technologies, market trends, competitive insights, and requirements.
  • Create the new product business case, business plan, and positioning to grow Microchip's wireless business.
  • Execute new product introductions including pricing, forecasting, collateral development, and training.
  • Oversee product launches including positioning, customer engagement, sales and channel training, and press collateral with the marketing communication team.
  • Support the existing wireless portfolio and customer base.
  • Secure customers through customer visits, focused web presence, collateral development, and training materials.

Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent with at least 12 years of technical marketing and large account experience in a semiconductor company.
  • Knowledge of Wireless communications such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 802.15.4 technologies preferred.
  • Understanding of semiconductor business models, manufacturing technologies, and challenges.
  • MBA is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across worldwide geographies.
  • Excellent communication skills: presentation, writing, and listening.
  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and listen.
